Alzheimer’s eight years a long tortuous departure
“Dad”
Alzheimer’s
This gaunt sickly ghost
Standing before me
Tired, weak and weary
Years of eroding decay
Unrecognizable in anyway
Eyes inert, blank and dull
Receding and sunken deeply
In a soundless vacant skull
Day after day slowly changing
Before all turning to dust
A ravaged ghostly skeleton
With every longing moment
A nightmare train to oblivion
Tears seen and unseen we cry
Unendingly painful is goodbye

Public transportation has it daily jewels!
“The bus”
Senryu
Jammed like sardines
Standing motionless
Seat Mam?
Flag hangs from the porch
Wreath hangs from the door
Houses passing
Red light
Green light
Pedestrians Crossing
Rickety Rackety
Bump thump bump
The mainline bus
Some get off
Some get on
Some transfer
Like life

The Arizona Desert
Oro Valley
Haiku
A lone night owl
Welcomes the sun
Hoot, hoot, hoot
Dawn spring wind
Lifts an eagle aloft
Snake for breakfast
Desert canvas
The rising sun
Is the painter
Awakening at dawn
Howling windy desert
Cold bites my chin
Like life
Common is uncommon

What is time?
“Weird”
Clock with out hands is time slain
Heads without ears cannot hear
Wingless birds freezing in the rain
Eyes blind shut I am living in fear
Oh when, was the day time got lost?
Earless time fearfully listens in vain
Time gone lost as the hands got crossed
As hands fall off; time has no domain
Do handless clocks continually tick?
When do closed eyes see time passing?
Is losing time the magician’s trick?
The clock stopped time is not happening
As the hands spin backwards, we cried
Time is done and from us must now flee
When the clock wound down time died
For there are no more ticks for us to see
No feathers and wings; time can not fly
With a great sigh time has said goodbye!

Forgiving is his love to all!
“He Does Know”
To Our Lord at Easter
To the cross, who sentenced him?
Who brutally pounded each nail?
Did Pilate turn the lights all dim?
When did the cruel mob him fail?
Was it I that sent him to the cross?
To the nail did I the hammer put?
Are the dim lights my guilty loss?
Am I the failing mob at his foot?
My actions to the cross sends him
My inaction is the hammer and nails
In daily sin, I do the lights turn dim
I am the mob at his foot that fails
All these things he does know
Yet he forgives and loves me so!
